BEAT IT: A Tap Jam Masterclass!

October 27 from 6-8 p.m.

Grades 6-12

Join your NYC-based instructor Boe Wank (Anything Goes revival) for a rhythmic, heart-pumping, syncopated good time! Whether you are brand new to tap dancing or nearly a pro yourself, this one-night-only event has something for you. From a warm-up to learning inventive new steps, revisiting classic tap footwork to creating exciting musical sounds with your shoes, and finally putting it all out there on the floor with an exciting, customized dance combination, this two-hour class will leave you uplifted, invigorated, and ready to keep dancing!

Tap shoes recommended, but any dance shoe— character or a jazz shoe will work.  

Tuition: $25 per student

Participation of at least 5 students is needed for workshop to take place. The maximum number is 10.

Masks are required for all participants.

Tuitions are non-refundable & non-transferable.

MCPA reserves the right to cancel any class; refunds are made for cancellation.

Boe Wank

A Findlay native, Boe has made his new home in New York City and has worked as a professional performer, choreographer, and teacher ever since moving. Some credits include tapping his troubles away across the country in Roundabout Theatre Company's TONY Award-winning revival of Anything Goes. Favorite regional credits:  A Chorus Line (Mike), The Music Man (Jacey Squires), All Shook Up (Dean Hyde), Little Women the Musical (Laurie), Disney's Beauty and The Beast (LeFou), Singin' In The Rain, Grease, Legally Blonde, Jesus Christ Superstar, Oklahoma!, Hello Dolly!, Chess, and 42nd Street. Choreography credits include Mamma Mia!, Anything Goes, The Who's Tommy, 42nd Street, Sister Act, and HAIR.

If you're a Hamilton superfan, the star of your school dances, or just love today's best music, then this is the class for you! Lead by NYC dancer and choreographer Boe Wank, this one-night-only dance class/party is perfect for seasoned young pros or newbies who want to try something different and exciting. From the fast-paced warm-up to the killer combination at the end, this class promises you'll sweat, learn, boost your confidence, and have the time of your life!
