BROADWAY LIGHTS STUDENT MASTERCLASS SERIES: Book It!, Grades 6-12

July 26, 27, 28 and 29 from 6-8PM at MCPA

Join Findlay-born and NYC-based actor, dancer, and choreographer Boe Wank in a fun and fast-paced class all about how to make dance and auditions what they’re supposed to be: expressive, creative, and EXCITING! Each class, Boe will guide you in a warm-up and technique crash course in four different dance styles seen in your favorite musicals nationwide, before leading a mock-dance audition where you can use the tools you’ve learned to BOOK THE JOB! Every student will be “cast”, and each class will end with a discussion about what everyone learned and how to apply it to their next performance or audition opportunity. All levels of experience welcome!

Tuition: $150 per student

Participation of at least 5 students is needed for class to take place. The maximum number is 10.

Each participant is expected to attend all classes, for the entire duration of each class.

Boe Wank

A Findlay native, Boe Wank has made his new home in New York City and has worked as a professional performer, choreographer, and teacher ever since moving. Some credits include tapping his troubles away across the country in Roundabout Theatre Company's TONY Award-winning revival of Anything Goes. Favorite regional credits: A Chorus Line (Mike), The Music Man (Jacey Squires), All Shook Up (Dean Hyde), Little Women the Musical (Laurie), Disney's Beauty and The Beast (LeFou), Singin' In The Rain, Grease, Legally Blonde, Jesus Christ Superstar, Oklahoma!, Hello Dolly!, Chess, and 42nd Street. Choreography credits include Mamma Mia!, Anything Goes, The Who's Tommy, 42nd Street, Sister Act, and HAIR.
