Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble Concert: In Her Memory

On Thursday, September 23rd, shoppers at a Kroger in Collierville, TN had their lives changed forever when a lone gunman entered the store. Employees and customers alike were attacked, leaving over a dozen wounded physically, many more wounded emotionally, and one woman dead. Olivia King, the mother of UF Director of Bands, Wes King, was that woman. Tonight’s concert is a eulogy of her life and a meditation on how she died. The bands will be under the direction of Dr. Wes King.
WARNING: While most UF concerts are family-friendly, due to the nature of tonight’s thematic material, parents should use caution in attending tonight’s concert with small children.
