Production Fee Information
- On-Stage Cast – $75
- Technical Crew – $45
- Fees are due by February 2
- Cash or Check made payable to MCPA
- Credit Card *Includes credit card processing fee*
- Scholarships are available; see Craig
- It costs over $20,000 to put on a production of this magnitude. Production fees cover the cost of script, cast photo and T-shirt, as well as instructional costs, props, set construction, artistic rights, lighting, sound, costumes, cast party, and administration costs such as ticketing and publicity.
Rehearsal Schedules
- Technical Crew Schedule:
- Make Up/Hair March 9-14 ( Call times will be emailed out in the next week or two). An additional meeting prior to March 9 may be scheduled.
- Set Building and Painting Link to schedule will be sent out ASAP.
- Lights/Sound March 9-14 ( Call times will be emailed out in the next week or two).
- All technical crew will be needed for the cast/crew picture on Thursday, March 12 at 6:30 p.m.
- The cast/crew party will be on Saturday, March 14 following the 2 p.m. performance.
- Rehearsal Breakdown for On Stage Cast – indicates who needs to attend each rehearsal. You only need to attend rehearsals when your character/group is listed or Full Cast is called.
Conflicts
- With the exception of the conflict dates provided to us at auditions, we expect your child at all other applicable rehearsals.
If your child is sick . . .
- If your child is sick/contagious, please do NOT send them to rehearsal or set build/paint session.
- Email Craig VanRenterghem ASAP if your child will be absent education@mcpa.org
Cancellations
- We will cancel if there is a Level 2 or 3 weather advisory at the time of rehearsal or set build/paint session.

Parent Help
PARENT COMMITMENT: Youtheatre is a family affair! Parents are asked to volunteer on pre-show and show-week parent committees. Committees cover every aspect of producing a show, including building and painting sets, costumes, backstage supervisors, dressing room supervisors, cast party and many more. Our shows would not be possible without the dedication and investment of each family!
Form will be emailed to all families and needs to be completed by January 29
MCPA Rules
- Please DO NOT arrive more than 15 mins before rehearsal starts. Please DO NOT arrive more than 5 mins after rehearsal ends.
- Please use Back Stage Door Entrance.
- Sign your cast/crew members in and out of each rehearsal or work day.
- Stay in areas designated for Youtheatre.
Set Construction / Painting
- 1700 Fostoria Ave. (State Route 12). Maps and directions will be provided.
- Wear OLD clothes and shoes.
- Bring drills with no. 2 Philips Heads.
- 1 parent/guaridan is asked to attend with students.
Costumes
- Following this meeting, all on-stage cast members will be measured for their costume.
- Most will be asked to provide some items as well.
Tickets
- Public ticket sales begin on Tuesday, February 3 at 11 AM!
- Pre-sale tickets for cast/crew families start on Friday, January 23 at 11 AM by using the code Stanley26
- Technical Crew Students Code for Comp Ticket is Crewfs
- Tickets prices this year are:
- $13.00 – Students and Senior Citizens
- $16.00 – Adults
*$1.00 from each ticket will go towards the Youtheatre College Scholarship Fund
- Box Office Hours:
- Monday-Friday
- 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
- All seats are reserved seating.
- You may purchase tickets at mcpa.org, over the phone or in person.
