Box Office Associate



Marathon Center for the Performing Arts (MCPA) is searching for a part‐time box office associate responsible for providing outstanding customer service and volunteer management.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Box Office

  • Provide exemplary customer service to all patrons and renters of MCPA
  • Handle all ticket sales for all performances and rental events
  • Collect and enter complete sales data into the ticketing system efficiently and accurately
  • Respond to patron questions and concerns promptly and professionally
  • Maintain accurate count in cash box and assist with financial reconciliations

Volunteer Management

  • Oversee MCPA’s volunteer program
  • Ensure volunteers are trained, engaged and appreciated
  • Maintain database of volunteers
  • Handle all volunteer communications
  • Update and maintain volunteer handbook, policies and procedures
  • Actively recruit new volunteers

Experience & Education

  • Experience in arts or customer service preferred




  • Up to 30 hours a week
  • Weekdays 11 am – 4 pm
  • Some weekends and evenings based on event schedule


  • $14 ‐ $17 / hour depending on experience
