Improvisation 101 with Diana DePasquale

Monday July 12, 19, 26 and August 2, 9 & 23 from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at MCPA

Showcase on Thursday, August 26 

Come learn the foundations of improvisation: mutual agreement; making discoveries with your scene partner, and finding patterns! Strengthen your skills in listening, trusting, and being present in the moment. 

Tuition: $100 per student

Participation of at least 10 students is needed for workshop to take place. The maximum number is 15.

Each participant is expected to attend all classes, for the entire duration of each class.

All classes are held at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts.

*No make-up days will be scheduled for inclement weather and no refunds will be issued after classes have begun.

Diana DePasquale is one of the cofounders of Glass City Improv and has studied and performed improvisation at the UCB, Magnet, and Peoples Improv theaters in NYC. 


 

Broadway or Bust Adult Masterclass Series: Tap Your Troubles Away!

July 25 from 2-4 p.m.

Join Findlay native Boe Wank for an afternoon of forgetting your troubles and getting tappy! This open-level tap masterclass will touch on everything from the basics for newer dancers to some tricks for more seasoned hoofers, culminating in a feel-good combination that’s sure to send you flapping home!

Tap shoes recommended, but any dance shoe—character or a jazz shoe will work.  

Tuition: $25 per student

Participation of at least 5 students is needed for workshop to take place. The maximum number is 10.

Tuitions are non-refundable & non-transferable.

Boe Wank

A Findlay native, Boe has made his new home in New York City and has worked as a professional performer, choreographer, and teacher ever since moving. Some credits include tapping his troubles away across the country in Roundabout Theatre Company's TONY Award-winning revival of Anything Goes. Favorite regional credits:  A Chorus Line (Mike), The Music Man (Jacey Squires), All Shook Up (Dean Hyde), Little Women the Musical (Laurie), Disney's Beauty and The Beast (LeFou), Singin' In The Rain, Grease, Legally Blonde, Jesus Christ Superstar, Oklahoma!, Hello Dolly!, Chess, and 42nd Street. Choreography credits include Mamma Mia!, Anything Goes, The Who's Tommy, 42nd Street, Sister Act, and HAIR.
