Judy Graevu

Judy Graevu, a lifelong sculptor and educator, began her career after earning a B.S. in Art Education from Ball State Teachers’ College and later completing an MFA at Bowling Green State University in 1967. Following teaching positions at several Ohio colleges, she spent 20 years as a full-time professor at Ohio Northern University, where she also established a sculpture casting program. Her passion for sculpture was sparked during his undergraduate years with her first bronze casting experience, leading to decades of work in metal and glass. Deeply inspired by natural forms, textures, and movement, Graevu's sculptures often explore the interplay of light and water. Her works have been exhibited widely in juried and invitational shows, as well as featured in major public commissions across the U.S., including installations at the University of Toledo, Daytona Beach International Airport, and Inniswood Metro Gardens. In this exhibition, Graevu's pieces reflect her enduring fascination with the tactile qualities of nature and the problem-solving joy inherent in the creative process.

Steve Woodruff

Throughout Steve Woodruff's artistic career, he has enjoyed a wide variety of photographic subjects. Over the last five years, he has concentrated on Fine Art landscape and Panoramic Imagery. Along with these changes in subject matter, he has been drawn to a technique pioneered by William Neill, renowned Yosemite photographer and student of Ansel Adams, with whom he spent time in 2016. Moving away from the stark realism of traditional landscape photography, this method of image capture uses slower shutter speeds and intentional camera movement to enter the realm of photographic impressionism and abstraction without compromising the essential subject matter. The resulting images emphasize color, patterns, and light variance to impart a vivid, more “painterly” composition, which serves to challenge the viewers’ perspectives and expands their imaginations.

At present, Woodruff's photographic images use the latest and most advanced Fine Art printing technology available. Both the Chromoluxe HD dye-sublimation on metal and the Lumachrome HD Acrylic processes offer distinctive image brilliance and archival quality that set them apart from other print mediums.
