Bring the whole family for an evening of music, fun, and storytelling with Toledo Opera’s Family Opera On Wheels, presented in partnership with the Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation, at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, March 6, 2026. The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with hands-on, family-friendly activities designed for kids of all ages.

At 7:30 p.m., enjoy a full performance of The Bear Who Couldn’t Fish, a charming, original opera set in the lush forests surrounding the Great Lakes. Follow Mato, a young bear on his first solo adventure, as he learns to fish, discovers the value of seeking help, and gains a deeper understanding of the delicate ecosystems around him. With captivating music and a meaningful message, this opera introduces young audiences to biodiversity, aquatic habitats, and environmental stewardship — all while celebrating the joy of live performance.

This event is free of charge, but space is limited and reservations are required. Don’t miss this perfect opportunity to inspire curiosity, spark imagination, and share the magic of opera with your family!
